Gustav, affectionately known as Gus, Goose, or even Gooseberry! This lovable pup was surrendered to a rural Georgia shelter, where he weathered Hurricane Helene alone, waiting for his forever home.

 

Despite being heartworm positive, Gustav's playful spirit shines through as he navigates his treatment with the energy of a puppy. He’s making great strides in potty training, walks well on a leash, and gets along famously with other dogs and even cats!

 

With a loving demeanor and a knack for commands, Gustav is ready to bring joy to any family that welcomes him home.
