Let's play a game of I Spy shall we? Who is red & white, gorgeous, has adorable big ears, and the most devastating side eye you have ever seen in your life? Any guesses? No? It's me! FRANCINE! AKA Mz. Independent. I am a true independent, adult female who is super sweet (if I say so myself) and I have impeccable manners.  The best part about being an independent pupper? I know what I want, what I really, really want in a furever home. 

1) Good taste in music.  Non negotiable.

2) I need a furever family who understands that the world is not always kind and it can force you to learn to only count on yourself.  I may take a little longer to warm up to a person and be a little particular about my environment,  but that is how I keep myself safe. Once we bond I promise I will never snitch on you to the cops. Not even for a WHOLE bag of treats. 

 

Since coming to SEPR let me tell you I have been put to work. I have worked hard for my money, so hard for it honey. First, training.  I passed the train-a-bull program, got to spend some time with the amazing trainers at Nerdy K9, and my FM makes me keep my skills up at home. I am basically working overtime just proving I can do my commands! Sit, stay, come, drop it, look, etc. I GOT IT FM! Then, my FM seems to need a companion pupper when she is running errands to keep her from geting lonely and spending too much money on things she doesn't need instead of on my toys and treats.  Don't forget - I am also her in home therapist. That is THREE jobs I am holding down! You know what? I should quit them all and start an only paws account. My big ears will bring all the boys to the yard. 

 

Well - you heard it from the puppers mouth. I am hard working, independent doggo who just wants to learn to feel safe and loved. I have been getting there.  My FM has shown me so much. I now live for the flirt pole,  get super cozy with my stuffies, enjoy kongs, treats, sniffer style brain drain games, and showing off my super flash like speed when I am doing zoomies (or chasing bunnies). I have grown used to my kennel, walk on a gentle leader like a star, and have honestly just learned to enjoy the quiet life. This is important to note. After a past that is better left....well...in the past, I really need a calm space for my home. I have been introduced to children and have been fine but I may not enjoy living with them unless they are on the much older side. I have also been fine with one on one dog interactions so having a fur sibling may be okay with a slow introduction.  Not sure how I feel about cats but as long as they are quiet and don't bug me I should tolerate them.

 

To sum it up, I am worthy of love. Of affection. Of safety.  I will be firm in my desire to be be safe. I have a heart of gold that I want to entrust to someone but they need to be willing to be patient,  understanding,  and kind. I am a survivor and I want to do more than survive. I want to keep growing, loving, and thriving.  Will you be my person? My ride or die? If you think we could be a match come and meet me! Maybe prepare a song to express your adoration? I may even let you touch my favorite stuffy. BIG MAYBE.
