Introducing the lovely lady Esme (AKA Esmeralda). This fun loving, care free, Georgia Peach not only survived a HURRICANE, but also made the harrowing trip to the chilly state of SD and she did it all with an adorable level of sass and probably a little ear flip (picture the sassy hair flip….but ya know…with ears). Since the moment mz. Esme joined her foster family she has been experiencing all the love and joy she has always deserved but never had back home. With her foster family she is enjoying - possibly for the first time ever - the pleasure of having her own bone to chew on, soft blankets to cuddle into, and toys! Her foster home gets a five start review for spoiling 😊.

 

So far there is not a single activity this girl does not enjoy. Walkies, car rides, movies, naps, play time by herself, play time with a human/other dog, or even watching foster daddy play x-box are all A-OK in her books. She is potty trained and has not had a single accident in her foster home. She will sit by the door and wait patiently to be let out. She is learning her commands, which is not too hard considering she is extremely food motivated. Cookie for a sit? Deal. Two cookies for being adorable? Too easy.

 

Have a fun loving, playful canine already in your home? Booya! She has crazy little sister energy with a touch of ‘OHHHHH SQUIRREL’ so make sure she is the right fit for your current furry loved one. She would love to match crazy energy with another dog – or you. Or, ya know, if you have a reserved pupper in your life that needs to be annoyed out of their shell….she could definitely fit that bill. Only caution flag is that she is a little too crazy for cats. Doesn’t mean she can’t live with one, just that she will need proper management to co-exist safely. Picture a grumpy kitty sitting in front of a big pup who is going “hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. PLAY WITH ME. Hi. WHY WON’T YOU PLAY WITH ME!” You get the idea.

 

Esme is still learning her new surroundings which means getting use to walking nicely on a leash (work in progress but going well), learning how to relax on a tie down (with the proper snack in place it is doing good), and becoming part of a loving pack. She adores her foster siblings and quite enjoys her new humans. Especially if they are cuddling down for a nap. Who needs bubble space when you have such a sweet dog? She is currently on short term medications to clear up some fun bugs she got from the South and she takes her meds like a champ. Esme will go into her kennel with a little coaxing – and a snack bribe – and overall does well during her stays there.

 

What I want you to get from this short bio is this: OMG YOU NEED THIS DOG! Sweet, loving, fun, loves other dogs, and just wants to be your ride or die? Quick learner? No potty accidents? What more do you need? This sweet, sweet thing has had a rough start in life and all she wants now is to love and be loved. Well, and have good snacks. I mean…how low do you need this bar to be? If you want an only fur child to dote on – she will live for your adoration. If you need a friend for your existing fur child – she will bring new fun and love into their & your lives. She has not yet been child tested but no red flags are popping up. She just wants to give love.  Esme is the dream dog you could never have imagined existed but now that you know that she does WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? No thumb twiddling. No calm walking. RUN to SEPR and meet this girl before you miss your chance for the most amazing happily ever after.
